Good morning dear vapers, Today I want to talk to you about the Knight 80.
Controlled by the new Ant Chip, the Knight is powered by a single 18650 battery that will allow a supply from 1 W to 80 W to meet all our vaping needs.
The box arrives at home in an elegant cardboard box protected by a sleeve on whose front an image will show us the mod in the chosen color. On the back, on the other hand, in addition to the contents of the package, we find the manufacturer’s physical and digital addresses, the classic certification marks, and the scratch and check code that will allow us to verify the authenticity of the product.

The box has dimensions 90mm x 45mm x 27mm, it is not very small but it is still light thanks to its body completely made of zinc alloy and plastic material.
It is able to supply a power from 1W to 80W and can read resistances included in a range from 0.1 ohm to 3 ohm if we are in VW , Bypass, DVW modes or resistors from 0.1 ohm to 2 ohm if we wanted to use it in control of the temperature.
The Knight 80 is also equipped with all the classic protections that will guarantee all possible safety even for the less experienced vaper.
As you can see from the previous images, on the front we will have the screen and the adjustment buttons while on the other side, by removing the panel held firmly in place by two powerful magnets, it will be possible to insert our 18650 battery. The symbols inside the specific compartment will indicate the correct direction of insertion.
On the sides we will find instead respectively on one side the fire button and on the other a usb type-C port, which will be useful for fast charging and will give us the possibility of future software updates.
Let’s now see the basic parts of our mod. Smoant mounts the new Ant Chip on this device, which in addition to being clear and simple to use, also features smart functions such as automatic recognition of the inserted coil (with standard coil, no rba), also suggesting the recommended wattage range. I find this feature useful especially for newbies.
Turning on the box with the classic 5 clicks of the fire button, the bright 0.96-inch screen with a minimal interface will show us all the main information. In addition to the classic supply wattage, the selected vaping mode and battery charge will be clearly visible at the top. Immediately below we will have the voltage, the read value of the coil , the number of puffs and the duration in seconds of each puff.
With 3 clicks of the fire button we will see the writing above flashing indicating the current vaping mode, and it will be possible, using the + and – keys, to vary between:
– variwatt mode
– power curve
– bypass
– temperature control (Ni, Ti, SS , TCR)
By simultaneously pressing the + and – keys it will be possible to lock the mod, in this mode also the fire key will remain locked.
Few functions but well made, functional, and easily accessible, which is what I personally look for in this type of mod where the Ant chip really manages everything better.
The cartridge can contain up to 4 ml of liquid (2 ml in tpd version) and its refilling will be very simple through that tab on the part that will then be hidden by the body of the box once put back in place.
Equally convenient will be the management of the coils, once initialized and screwed into the appropriate adapter, this will simply be inserted in its hole and will be held in place by 2 orings present at the base.
In addition to the type of coil supplied for the Knight, through an adapter (sold separately) it will be possible to use those of another excellent Smoant pod, the Pasito.
Furthermore, for more expert users, 2 types of rba will be available, one specially made for the Knight 80 (sold separately), and the other will be that of Pasito, as is the case for standard coils .
Also interesting is the afc system independent of the part of the tank that contains the liquid
The top airflow system will allow the air to enter through two slots located on the top of the cartridge, the air will then pass through an internal part going to invest from under the coil . This particular system has been specifically designed to prevent losses. By turning the base of the drip tip it will be possible to partialize the buttonholes by adjusting the afc. This base has a classic 510 attachment so we can replace the drip tip with any other of our liking.
As a last thing we see the bottom of the box where there are several vent holes to ensure additional safety in the event of a malfunction that could lead to the battery venting.
FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
I must say that Smoant has truly created a beautiful object whose solidity and attention to detail are immediately noticeable. As soon as the elegant package is opened, a non-essential plus that never hurts, you immediately realize from the endowment that this product was born for the flavor. The low impedance resistors and the large hole of the drip tip do nothing but confirm it.
Smoant comes to meet us by providing us with a settable rba at our pleasure. Through a regeneration suitable for the purpose, changing the drip tip and partializing the afc slots I obtained a not too narrow pull, comparable to a 1.4 mm hole, very fluid and pleasant.
Perhaps from my descriptions you will think that this rendering has no character but let’s always remember which type of system we are talking about, certainly I did not expect results comparable to a high end atom, but on an aromatic level I was pleasantly impressed.
In addition to this, Smoant also offers us through the use of an adapter, to be able to take advantage of the resistances of another home pod, the Pasito. In this case, in addition to a resistance prefatta certainly better suited to ‘ mtl we will have another rba already personally precisely on time use Pasito, and I find it really good aromatic level.
Ultimately what to say … for me this is a really good product with many conveniences and few defects so I can only recommend it to all those interested in the genre, which is so fashionable now.
